Excursion 06

Saturday, 14 June 2003

Dear colleagues,

Thought the distance to climb is reasonable thanks to the telecabine, the altitude has increased and, therefore, the lack of oxigen becomes evident. Saturday is supposed to be very hot. Foresee extra drinking liquid for this trip that, although not difficult, the slopes are hard and exposition to sun is permanent. From the point of view of equipment it is mandatory the use of tracking boots. Since we are well advanced in the warm session there is no need of piolet but hiking sticks could be useful. Here is the proposal for this... please NOTE, SATURDAY:

It is convenient to emphasize some useful items: please do not forget to carry on (wear) raincoat, hat/cap and sun glasses, warm gloves, hiking boots or sport-footwear with thick and non-slipping sole, enough food and drinks for the own consumption. Spear dry clothes and after excursion confortable shoes are very convenient.

I hope weather conditions will allow an enjoyable excursion! Cheers! Jose.
